WHAT IS MOV

MISSIE ONTWIKKELING VREDE

MOV Herveld is a non-profit organization that since 1976 has been committed to provide better living conditions for the people of northwestern Tanzania. The area northwest of Lake Victoria on the border of Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi.

MOV stands for Missie-Ontwikkeling-Vrede (Mission-Development-Peace), a parish work group. This working group evolved into a “large” and professional foundation. With years of experience, cooperation partners in Tanzania and a lot of (financial) support, we have already been able to achieve many great things.

We focus especially on northwestern Tanzania. It is one of the poorest countries in the world and we have reliable contacts in the Karagwe/Kagera region (northwest). We look into what is needed in this area, and ask the residents and adapt accordingly.

We are very happy with the financial support from many individuals, foundations, working groups, schools, church and diocese and also some companies. Sometimes we ask for extra help from other organizations and foundations such as Cordaid and local Rotary departments.

Would you also like to contribute to our projects? Would you like to help us ensure that the children in Tanzania can go to school, that there is drinking water nearby and a doctor? Then be sure to contact us.
